An equipping team

The apostle Paul writes this to the Ephesians, “The gifts he gave were that some would be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-13

The purpose of this scripture is not to focus so much on the gifts of the persons, but the blessings that flow as those “people-gifts” serve to:

  • equip the saints
  • give ministry away to others
  • build up the body of Christ
  • come to unity of the faith
  • grow into the person of Jesus Christ
  • become mature in him.

Therefore we serve as an Equipping Team to those in the body of Christ who desire to be part of the work of planting simple or organic or house churches.

However, we see local churches reaching their destiny when aligned to an apostolic vision. This allows Jesus to fulfil his promise when he said, “I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:18).

All of this begins relationally as we get to know those who choose to be part of this journey.

We work together with Craig Kirkby in Melbourne, using resources he has prepared.
